The cost of designing a Web Site has many factors including how many pages, banners, pictures, customised banners & pictures, links etc....

DOMAIN & HOSTING

You can choose to have your name as your internet address (domain name) eg: www.yourcompanyname.com.au
Your site also needs to be stored on a hosting computer server. These two often come hand in hand and cost from around AUD$200 per year depending on the size of the site. Alternatively you can store your site using a partial domain eg: http://yourcompanyname.ISPname.com.au, on your own Internet Service Providers server. This is often free depending on your contract with your ISP.

 

SEARCH ENGINES

  
Search engines are a kind of public web address directory. A user will enter keywords into their computer and scan the internet for sites that relate, or they can just follow the different catagories listed.
Essentially the search engines are what can draw a customer to your site. Listing your site with many of these is free but some do charge for commercial sites.
